Hello! My name is Jessica Ens and I am an art educator living in Florida. I have a Masters of Art Education from Florida State University. With an enthusiasm for creating, I have always had an eager passion to learn new art processes and am excited to share this knowledge in the form of teaching.

My education at Florida State University, allowed me to expand my knowledge of art and educational practices. Actively involved on campus, I was the president of the National Art Educator Association FSU Student Chapter.

I have had the opportunity to engage with the arts community while in Tallahassee in a few different ways. During my internship at the, nationally accredited, Gadsden Arts Center & Museum, I was on staff during the opening of the community ArtZone. I created curriculum in relation to the museum exhibitions that would be open and welcoming to the public. While working at LeMoyne Arts, a local non-profit art gallery and educational center, I reinvigorated the internship and volunteer outreach programs.

My strong teaching background and experience have provided me with great classroom management skills and a student-centered curriculum that suits the need for an exceptionally diverse and dynamic classroom environment.

I enjoy finding ways to use my love for art and teaching in meaningful ways throughout my community. My greatest strength as an educator is teaching students to hone their creativity to reflect on their perspectives and communicate their narrative. My classroom presents ideas and issues to students, teaches them to question, supports their exploration, and encourages creative problem-solving.
